Congress venue

The Congress will be held in Potenza at the Macchia Romana Campus, Viale dell'Ateneo Lucano n. 10. The Campus was built in 2000; Prime Minister Ciriaco De Mita, in 1990, attended the inauguration of the academic year in the first academic home, on Via Nazario Sauro, and signed the parchment for the laying of the foundation stone of the Macchia Romana Campus.

How to reach the Campus

Shuttle service

The Organizing Committee is providing a shuttle service to facilitate reaching the Macchia Romana Campus.
 

PERCORSO INTERNO
City line:
Departure time from Central Station
- 7:45 a.m. (arriving on campus at 8:30 a.m.)
- 9:00 a.m. (arriving on campus at 9:45 a.m.)
- 10:00 a.m. (arriving on campus at 10:45 a.m.)

Afternoon departures from campus at:

- 15:00
- 17:00
- 20:00
PERCORSO ESTERNO BUS
Suburban line
- 7:45 (Park hotel) - 8:00 (La Primula) - 8:30 (campus) 
- 9:45 (Park hotel) - 10:00 (La Primula) - 10:30 (campus)
- 11:00 (Park hotel) - 11:15 (La Primula) - 11:45 (campus)

In the afternoon, two trips are scheduled from the campus:
- 18:00
- 20:00

How to reach Potenza

For those traveling by car:

  • Motorway A2 del Mediterraneo or Salerno-Reggio Calabria, motorway exit Sicignano (Potenza) or Atena Lucana (Potenza)
  • Motorway A16 Napoli-Bari, motorway exit Candela and later highway Foggia-Potenza
  • State road 106 Ionica, continue on the freeway 407 Basentana to Potenza

For those traveling by train:

  •  Tyrrhenian side: from the train station of Salerno or Battipaglia (SA) it is possible to arrive at the Potenza Inferiore station, using the line that connects Naples to Taranto, and then take train to the Potenza Macchia Romana station, which is 10 minutes from the campus.
  • Ionian side: from either direction (Taranto and Reggio Calabria), Potenza can be reached, from the Metaponto (MT) train station, by the Taranto-Naples line.
  • Adriatic side: Potenza Inferiore can be reached by the Foggia-Potenza line.
  • From Bari: Potenza can be reached using the Appulo Lucane railway.​

For those traveling by bus:

  • Liscio Bus: direct connections with Milano, Roma, Perugia, Napoli and Salerno
  • Sita Bus: direct connections with Bologna, Milano and Torino
  • Marozzi Bus: direct connections with Pisa, Firenze, Siena, Milano and Torino.

For those traveling by plane:

The nearest airports to the city of Potenza are:

  • Roma Fiumicino 380 km
  • Napoli Capodichino 160 km
  • Bari Palese 170 km
