SIMP and SGI encourage the participation of young researchers (students / graduates, doctoral students, postdocs) by paying the registration fee to the Congress SGI-SIMP Torino 2022. Financial contributions are envisaged, which will be disbursed after the selection of requests by a Scientific Committee, for those who will present a communication (oral or poster) in a scientific session..
Only junior SIMP and SGI members can apply for a contribution (if up to date with the payment of membership fees).

IAS Student Members can apply for an IAS travel grant through the IAS website. The deadline for IAS travel grant applications is 1 July 2022. The application procedure requires a short letter of motivation and proof of enrolment as a PhD student, together with some specific details about travel distance, affiliation, etc.

TecTask, the IUGS commission for Tectonics and Structural Geology (http://www.tectask.org/) will support five bursaries covering registration fees (REDUCED Member fees). TecTask bursaries are dedicated to students, PhD students and Early Career Researchers (ECR) presenting, as a first or co-author, topics related to Structural Geology and Tectonics.
The application letter (free format) should include: (i) proof of your academic status (student, PhD, Post-Doc...); (ii) short CV (max 1 pag.); (iii) a motivation letter (max 2 pag.). (iv) The title of the abstract and the session that was submitted for the congress. Applications (one single file) should be sent by e-mail to: tectask2022@geoscienze.org
