Student Grants and Affiliated Accommodation

The organizing companies intend to encourage the participation of young researchers (graduates, doctoral students, research fellows) by exempting them from paying the registration fee for the Congress and/or by providing low-cost accommodation.

Around forty financial contributions are envisaged which will be disbursed, following selection of the requests by the Committee

Scientific Congress, for those who will present a communication (oral or poster) in a scientific session.

Around forty beds are also available (in single or double shared accommodation) in the residences of the University of Florence, at a rate of €16/night (€19/night in a single room).

Only AIV and/or SGI, SIMP and SoGeI members can apply for contributions and/or subsidized accommodation.

The application must be sent electronically to grants@pianetadinamico.it no later than 8.00 pm on 15/5/2015, accompanied by:

• declaration of student/doctoral student/fellowship holder status, issued by the relevant institution;
• two letters of introduction from AIV and/or SGI, SIMP and SoGeI members;
• title and session of the scientific communication presented at the Congress;
• specify whether the request relates to financial contribution and/or subsidized accommodation (in single or double accommodation).

The recipients of the contributions will be notified by 6/15/2015.
