The Geoscience paradigm: resources, risk and future perspectives

Potenza, 19-21 September, 2023

PhD day

The GEO doctoral students and researchers of the University of Basilicata, together with the GeoBAS University Cultural Association, are pleased to invite you to the fifth edition of the PhD Day study day aimed at all doctoral students in Earth Sciences in Italy who will be able to present the their research activities, to promote the scientific debate of future young researchers.

The event will take place on 18 September 2023 in the Aula Magna of the Macchia Romana Campus of the University of Basilicata, as part of the joint SIMP-SGI-SoGeI-AIV Congress "The Geoscience paradigm: Resources, risks and future perspectives " (19-21 September 2023).

Invited speaker of the day will be Dr. Walter Capella, research geologist with a three-year degree in Bologna, a specialist degree in Aix-Marseille, a PhD in Utrecht and experience as a postdoc in London. Writer and director, he created the "Cammino Adagio" project to cross territories on foot and tell, through storytelling, the stories contained in landscapes, from geological to human ones.

Programma

Chairman of the day: Giammarco Guidetti, Filippo Zummo, Canio Manniello, Osasogie Faith Obasuyi, Ian Bala Abdallah, Davide Cerone, Fabio Olita, Carmine Cisullo e Maria Concetta Paternoster.
