"Geosciences: a tool in a changing world" will take place from 3 to 6 September at the Piagge Center of the University of Pisa, the joint congress of the Italian Society of Mineralogy and Petrography, the Italian Geological Society, the Italian Association of Volcanology and the Geochemical Society Italian.

It is the most important scientific meeting of the Geosciences scheduled for 2017, which brings together all the most important scientific societies present in Italy with the involvement of most researchers from universities and research institutions.

Over 600 researchers will be present, who will compete with each other and with companies, professionals, the world of schools and public administration operators. Among other things, we will talk about the seismic sequence of central Italy in 2016-17 (with Carlo Doglioni, president of INGV).

The conference will allow the scientific community to reflect on the role that geosciences will have in the next decade as an essential tool to guide the sustainable development of our country.
